Salvation is not just getting born again or having a new birth experience once and for all. Salvation is a continuous and a lifelong process of being changed from one level of glory to glory, faith to faith and maturity until we conform to the image of Christ (I have a complete series of message on the Salvation of the Body, Soul and the Spirit).
The salvation you have received from God is eternal indeed and you cannot lose it. No sin, demon, devil, force, sickness can undo what Jesus did on the cross, but you can lose the salvation you have not yet experienced. Everything in this kingdom is all about experiencing and expressing the Life of Jesus from the inside out.
Many believers have made going for an altar call a routine, salvation prayer has now become a cliché and many altars and pulpit has little or no fire on them. Salvation is an encounter, it is an experience, it is an expression, it is a Life but it is also a process.
Salvation is God’s complete work in and for man, it doesn’t happen in a day, but it begins in a day, and it starts with the born again experience, It begins with His cleansing; the experience follows suit, then the expression will lead the way. Then we can continue with the daily transformation of the soul and the glorification of the body.
What does the Bible mean in Philippians 2: 12 … “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”? Many preachers make use of this verse to instill fear in people, because the ending part connotes “fear and trembling”. The word “fear and trembling” in this context means “reverence and respect”, and to “work out” our salvation means to continually bring it into completion or a perfect state.
We work out our salvation by a daily visit to the very source of this salvation – The Word of God, where by our hearts and minds are renewed consistently. Salvation is indeed eternal. The Bible talks extensively about eternal redemption, the Life that Jesus gave us is absolutely eternal and it is indestructible. The Life of God in you cannot be killed or extinguished.
If we do not allow God’s Word to constantly work in us and change us from glory to glory so we can experience and express the very Life we have received at new birth, there will be much that is not indestructible, what we have gained at the initial stage of salvation will still be ours, for this is just a foretaste, but the reality we have not gained and the fullness can be forever lost. This is what it means to “work out your salvation”
If we refuse to allow the Holy Spirit access all of our soul, if we resist the discipline and the workings of the God- head within, the regenerated man can be lost, though the salvation package given can never be lost because the package is a gift, what a man does or does not cannot negate God’s gift, but can adversely affect the man and how he handles the gift.

***QUOTES OF THE DAY–
[On Love] – It is absolutely human certainty that no one can know his own beauty or perceive a sense of his own worth until it has been reflected back to him in the mirror of another loving and caring human being.
[On Life] – If you really want to do something, you will find a way, if you don’t, you will find an excuse.
[On Success/Business] – Success is connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.
