There is what we call “The Testimony of God”. This is when the Lord speaks for himself. If God refuses to speak or hasn’t spoken yet, there is no testimony. It is so wonderful and amazing when we come to church meetings and share what God has done or to testify of His goodness in one area of our lives or the other.
I love when testimonies are shared, it’s scriptural and I encourage it always. But there is a higher dimension God is asking me to open your eyes to today. It is when God steps in on your behalf to take charge. At this point, you cannot share the experience; the works will speak for themselves.
Jesus says in John 10: 25 … the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. Jesus had no business telling anybody who needs healing, “I raised Lazarus from the dead, I walked on water, and I calmed the raging sea etc, before He would perform miracle healing on them, rather he allowed the works to speak for themselves.
It wouldn’t have been an offense if Jesus said those stuffs to approve of his ministry, but he refused to proclaim his works, he allowed the works to proclaim themselves, this is the testimony of God. Proclaiming God’s work brings us into the harvest, but when the works proclaim themselves, it gives us the finest of the wheat. This is the Lord’s desire.
In order for us to have the testimony of God, we must be brought to a place where we see God himself as our ultimate need. Those who speak for the Lord attracts people to the things they got from; but those who allow God to speak for himself attracts people to the person who gave those things.
There are two major steps needed and required for us to be what we ought to be. One is the distribution of Christ; the other is the destruction of individualism. As the Lord works in our lives daily, we need to eventually reach a point where we realize that, in order to please God, we can do nothing on the basis on our individual selves, only by the supply of Christ.
There are two kinds of life that exit among the children of God. One kind is a life that is full of things, while the other kind is a life that is full of Christ. The life that is full of things will show the world what is made from the outside, the life that is full of Christ will show the world what is made on the inside. The one on the inside has the greater glory. It is the testimony of God; it is the finest of the wheat.
