What ever we do consciously or unconsciously, we all definitely adopt a level of integrity in our business, relationships, career, ministry, personal lives and towards others. The Hebrew word translated “Integrity” in the Old Testament means the condition of sincerity, soundness and completeness while “integrity “ in the New Testament means honesty and adherence to a pattern of good works.
If you continually break commitments you will almost bind yourself totally from completing anything tangible because there is no track record of success in your subconscious. Jesus prefaced His words by saying “Truly, truly I say unto you” many times. This in essence means Jesus never lied, His action always define and connote integrity.
Be careful not to play games with your subconscious mind, particularly in regard to personality and habit change. When you make a commitment to yourself, also embark on a change of attitude. Highly motivated people are those who keep commitments to others and themselves. That is why they always look sound and so confident and they achieve and keep on achieving.
Try this simple exercise: Why not find a person, either living or dead, whom you can relate, someone you can hold in high esteem. Examine what it is about that person that you admire so greatly, read all you can about his life and examine the areas you admire.
Observe their mannerisms, attitudes, inner make-up and thereby create a profile that you can emulate. Pick out specific good points you would like to adopt and practice them daily, then in this way you can develop the good and admirable qualities you see in others.
If you have difficulty in staying motivated, examine closely your personal integrity. Root out past and present commitments you have made and ask yourself this question, ‘would I treat another person with the same level of integrity I display towards myself?’
Keep accounts of your personal integrity. Prioritize your value system. Treat it as your very best and trusted friend. Relate to it always with commitment and it will bring you motivation, inspiration and success.
Be the one standing out with your head held high today’s competitive world. Don’t follow the status quo, create your channel, it would soon become a memorable path for others to follow.
Proverbs 28 : 18 … “ Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall.”
