12/02/2015 | HOW TO OVERCOME FRUSTRATIONS – Brother Ransome | #ROR Daily Devotional … We Bless The Day!

Frustration usually occurs when our intended personal goals and dreams are not met. We may feel frustrated when an outcome of what we wanted to happen simply did not happen, or when we meet challenges. There are so many things that can cause us to be frustrated. Some people act on that feeling, while others do not. But as believers, we are not supposed to allow the feelings of frustration determine our joy.

Frustrations often arise when our hopes are dashed, when expectations are not met or answers to prayers are delayed. Many tend to give up at this point or even quit becoming consistent in the practice of their faith lives. Sadly, a lot of believers enter and exit several levels of frustration day in and day out with hopes shattered and dreams abandoned.

As believers, our response to frustrating moments should be totally different, the way and the manner in which we react at each stage are important. The kind of attitude we put up, the kind of words that come out of our mouth and the examples we show others in our lifestyles. We are meant to create solutions in these kinds of moment rather than just giving in or allowing the staggering oppositions to pull us down.

We should be firm and be rest assured with the promises of God’s word in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” And Also In Romans 8:28, “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Frustration is that feeling of impatience and anxiety that we get when we think our needs are not being met, and we often become frustrated with God when he seems to delay answers to prayers. When our ambitions conflict with God’s purposes, we will naturally be frustrated. Frustration with God could be evidence of a lack of trust in Him or a misunderstanding of who He is. Our human frustrations with God are the result of not understanding His plan or His ways in our life.

Talk to someone, a trusted friend, pastor, mentor or even parents about anything that is bothering you. Well, maybe not everything, but the point here is to be able to share bottled up feelings with someone instead of just keeping them all to ourselves. Avoid being angry, It can be either directed towards ourselves or to the one causing the frustration.

If a personal project or repeated task is frustrating you, find another project or hobby to work on for a while. If you are frustrated at work, choose to make your work go more smoothly or schedule a leave or request a shift in your work duties.  Also, cultivate an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness to God for the gift of life, the thought of being alive should motivate you for something greater that lies ahead. Stay strong and you will bless the World. GRACE TO YOUR HEART!
