Everyone has to start something somewhere. It doesn’t matter how you start, the most important thing is to start, and also you have to decide how great you want what you have started to be. You must set a target, and have a positive projection for whatever task you have undertaken.
Our minds have the ability to convince us that something is impossible long before we give it our best effort. If we’re not careful, we can formulate a mental surrender that says, “I can’t do this. I’ll never make it. It’s not possible.” The Wright Brothers never gave up on their dream. Had they done so, invention of the modern aircraft would have been attributed to someone else. The mind is powerful, but the Word of God must renew it so that it can bring forth results and glory due to His name.
Two most inspiring scriptural portions that has motivated me to do the things I have been able for God and the greater works that lie ahead of me are: Philippians 4: 13 … “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” and 1 John 4 : 4 … “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” These declarations are not vain self-reliance, not a habit which we acquire by frequent exercise, but a disposition of grace and the enabling power of the indwelling Christ.
We have been given a full assurance of God’s dominant power in the lives of His children which nothing or no other powers can overshadow or subdue. Your dream needs to be big. It needs to be something that is seemingly beyond your capabilities. But it also must be believable. Every dream must take the form of a proper plan. The Word of God will open your eyes and show how; it will educate you and grant you insights beyond your scope of view.
If you are constantly dwelling on the past or daydreaming about the future, you are missing out on the present moment. Remember that the past and the future are simply illusions, and that real life takes place here and now. Don’t compare the low points of your own life with the high points of other peoples’ lives. Everything will change and turn for the better with a little patience, persistence and never ending determination. GRACE TO YOUR HEART!
