05/03/2015 | HOW TO TREAT OTHERS WELL – Brother Ransome | ROR Daily Devotional … We Bless The Day!

You will never be able to show people respect if you cannot learn to respect yourself. The key to treating people with respect is to treat them as you would like to be treated. When dealing with difficult people, seek to understand the root of their problems or disrespect toward you. Then you will be able to rise above the situation, and treat them well.

The respect and kindness can be applied to anyone anywhere in the world, I love the simplicity of the Golden Rule, it helps me make others happy and I end up happier as well. “…thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Leviticus 19:18. All humans are good and kind – hearted irrespective of the race, religion and gender. When a language of love is communicated, it will be reciprocated even if not at the instant.

When you treat others well, you will be treated well also, sometimes it might not be from the same person the kindness was shown. But someone somewhere will treat you better too and beyond that, you will find a growing satisfaction in yourself, a belief in yourself, knowledge that you are a good person and a trust in yourself.

Make it a habit to try to place yourself in the shoes of another person. Loved ones, co-workers, people you meet on the street. Really try to understand, to the extent that you can, what it is like to be them, what they are going through, and why they do what they do, then begin to think of ways you can render a helping hand.

Don’t be blind to the needs and troubles of others. Look to help even before you’re asked. When you are in a position of authority and control, don’t abuse it. Put yourself in their shoes. Show mercy and undeserved favours knowing that you too will look for His mercy on that day. Be careful how you shut your doors, because you may need to go through that door in your life. Learn to entertain strangers, but be wise, for some have entertained angels unawares.

Pray like Eusebius of Caesarea … “May I gain no victory that harms me or my opponent. May I reconcile friends who are mad at each other. May I, insofar as I can, give all necessary help to my friends and to all who are in need. May I never fail a friend in trouble.” GRACE TO YOUR HEART!

*** PRAYER FOR THE DAY – Dear Father, I receive your precious Word in my heart and I live based on what I have learned, I live wisely, watch and redeeming the time. I love everybody around me unconditionally in Jesus name. Amen.

*** CONFESSION OF THE DAY – I love all men and the brethren because I am passed from death to life. I do not dwell in resentments and unforgiveness.  I follow peace with all men and the kingdom of God is revealed in me and through me.

[On Love] –  A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

[On Life] – Kindness is to act friendly, generous and considerate to others.

[On Success/Business] – If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again.
