There are two Kinds of Faith, and they are:
- Natural Faith – Mental assent or Sense knowledge faith
- Supernatural Faith – The God kind of faith
Ephesians 2: 8 – 9 [KJV] – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast
This faith is “not from ourselves”; i.e., it is not something that we were born with and possess naturally; this faith is “the gift of God”; it is a present that is given, or added, to us by God; and if it is from God, then it is Supernatural. Everything in scripture above is God’s gift.
The grace is the gift of God, the salvation is the gift of God and the faith to receive salvation is the gift of God. It is not human or psychological faith. It is supernatural faith; until this supernatural faith kicks in you cannot access the grace of God, healing etc.
Natural faith cannot get anything from God. Natural faith is limited to the senses. Natural may be optimistic, but it will soon get knocked down by the storms of life. Natural faith is fails and is not consistent with the word of God.
1 Corinthians 2:14 [KJV] – But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The first gift we received is “Supernatural Faith” which gives us salvation, justification, righteousness etc. The believer has the measure of faith, (Romans 12: 3) and that measure of faith given to us is “supernatural”.
The measure of faith given to you to receive salvation is enough to make you walk in everything that accompanies salvation; either to express the fruits and the gifts of the spirit, for supernatural supply etc. This measure of faith is what God has dealt with everyone. The measure of faith you received is enough to do whatever it is called upon to do. And Jesus is the author and finisher of it.
However, this supernatural faith can be active or passive. The measure of faith is constant, but the manifestation is diverse. This supernatural faith can become great or small in expression. This supernatural faith can be strong or weak.
It is not enough to have supernatural faith; we must learn how to make it work! Every failure in the believer is a failure of faith; and the failure of faith is the failure of the word!
There is only one foundation and source for Faith, the Living Word. Until our actions and reactions becomes one with the Word, faith will not work. God is a supernatural God and he has given us a supernatural faith to access Him, but you must get His word daily into spirit to make that faith work. Make up your mind this year to make your faith work to get all supernatural blessings and miracles from God.
CONFESSION – My faith is supernatural and I make it work by diligently paying attention to every detail of God’s word. My faith is active and alive, and it produces for me supernatural results. Glory to God!
