You don’t need pray to be a giver; there are no ways, keys or steps to becoming a good giver. The only way to give is to give, and not to think about it. You don’t need to wait till you have $10 before you can give $5; if you already have the $5 with you, then go ahead and give it, don’t wait till when you have $10 or more. Giving is a lifestyle and it can be mastered.
The more consistent you are in giving, the more you gradually gain mastery in that area of your life. For example, if you are used to giving $10 bill for an offering in every service; you can successfully mastered that level of giving and conquered that phase and God’s supply will never stop; but the next thing is to increase and rise above that level of giving to either $15 or $20, and surely God will see to it that you continue to experience surplus before the next meeting. Giving is progressive!
2 Corinthians 9: 6 – 7 [KJV] – But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
You can yield your heart to becoming a giver. Don’t complain or alter your countenance when financial responsibility is passed on you. Don’t just give for public notice or a return of thanks. Give because you really want to demonstrate the attribute of God, and your blessings shall be in manifolds. Give big, give happily and give cheerfully. Be the first to support a good cause, let your name answer to it.
CONFESSION – I am giver, a big giver and a happy giver. I am consistent in my giving and I have mastered it. I give because it is my responsibility and duty to honour God and to bless people with my substance. Glory to God!
