If you have been through lots of grief, loss of dear ones, heart breaks and painful experiences, you will need nobody to tell you what it means to be in grief. Grief is not what you shake off easily. It’s not what you walk away from quickly. It takes time!! It takes length of time!!
The heart is so precious that the Bible tells us to guard it will all diligence. But in the midst of tragedy, there is a place God wants us to reach, a place of assurance, a place of no return, an arena of no looking back, a point where you can tell the fire “ … I’m going to run through you, and by the time I’m done with the refiners fire, I will come forth like gold.”
There’s a big difference between TRAINING and SUFFERING. Most Christians sees many challenges they go through as a suffering period rather as a training process. We should never see ourselves as suffering children in the hand of an angry God, but children undergoing training in the hand of a loving God.
The four major ingredients you need during this training period are: PATIENCE, GOOD CONFESSION, THANKSGIVING AND INTEGRITY. The training process is a matter of time, and God uses this period to fine tune us to conform to his intended will so when the appointed time comes, we will not take the glory or misuse the gold.
Patience is a divine virtue, and he who possesses it has possessed a celestial verity. Isaiah 28: 26 … He that believeth shall not make haste. There is a mad rush for success in our world today, and many people are running outside the will of God. But beyond success, the highest purpose is to fulfill destiny. More than relevance, we need to seek significance; we need to go beyond the traditions of men and get rid of the status quo, we need to build what will last into history and raise the foundation of generations.
While the training process is on, we must maintain a good confession/profession until the process is over because any negative confession can alter or delay what has been prepared ahead of time. Also, giving of thanks continually with sacrifice of praise will stabilize us during this process, and by the time the waiting is over, it will all be worth it.
This period of waiting is so important and also sensitive; this is the period when the integrity of most people are lost. Jesus and Joseph are the only two people that didn’t mess up during their process of waiting. Even Abraham messed up, but God didn’t reckon it based on works, but of faith.
Many have lost their gifts during this process. Don’t allow the process of training steal your gifts, but should rather refine it. This gift will make room for you by the time the whole training process is over. You may go through hell, but never lose your integrity. It’s just a matter of time. Watch out! The clouds are gathering and it will empty itself on you.
