5/12/14 | WHY YOU NEED TO FORGIVE COMPLETELY – Brother Ransome | #ROR … We Bless The Day!

Forgiveness means to excuse and pardon a fault. Forgiveness is what you choose to do even when your offenders do not deserve it, because is the nature of God. God forgives us first and he expects you to follow that attribute and bestow it on others.

So many people spend all their lives busy making people pay back for the offences they committed a long time ago. I did that several times also for a female friend years back in high school, but I am a changed man now, and I have apologized for making her feel that way. I don’t do such stuffs again; they don’t have a place in my system.

Sometime we say with our mouth we have forgiven this or that person, but we punish them anyway. You forgave them, yet you ignore them, gossip them and avoid them. That’s not complete forgiveness. True forgiveness is to bestow mercy unconditionally and totally let the offense drop off your mind.

Matthew 5: 7 … Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy. He that shows mercy does himself good. One of the purposes of forgiveness is just to be like God. Forgiveness is like wearing a royal robe and showing mercy is like having a cold bath in a sunny day. There’s always a sweet sensation all over you anytime you forgive genuinely.

You may be reading through this right now and say in your mind … “Oh Brother Ransome! You can’t just understand what I went through, I almost died”. Listen up now, you went through it, but it didn’t kill you after all. Your being alive today shows there’s something greater ahead and new territories to conquer.

Forgiveness brings healing to your soul, and not just a onetime healing, but makes you stay in health. The most suitable health condition is to have a perfect state of peace, the quietness of your soul; where no storm shakes your innermost calm. Don’t trade your peace for a dime today, forgive completely now.

One sure way to know you have forgiven your offenders completely is when you pray for them. Jesus did that for those who crucified him. They nailed the same hands that created them. Dear friend, nothing is worth not forgiving.

Un-forgiveness builds up bitterness, resentment and anger in your system and this is not consistent with the Word. Bitterness is always obvious when a man allows it to have a domicile in your system, and it spreads to other part of the functioning system just as cancer.

Choose and learn to forgive on purpose, even if you are the offended. Make up your mind to do it, it might be grievous for a while, but it will be worth it after all, with joy unspeakable and full of glory. To forgive is divine; forgiving others is an attribute of divinity in humanity.

*** PRAYER FOR THE DAY – Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I open my heart to walk in the authority of your Word, I forgive completely and wholeheartedly, I am restored into meekness always and I am merciful unto others in Jesus Name, Amen.

*** CONFESSION OF THE DAY I show mercy and compassion. I do not find fault in others. I make the best use of my day by forgiving those who offend me. I forgive their wrongs and I forget them. Bitterness and resentment does not have a place in my system, they are not consistent with my lifestyle. I work the Word and I win always.
